“Wonderful, beautifully done”

I cannot rate this hotel highly enough , everything was just perfect and made for a relaxing family break. The lady behind the reception was particularly lovely and immediately made us feel so welcome. It really was like a home from home feeling . Location was perfect , bang in the middle of all the places we wanted to visit. We will definitely be returning , we loved it !!!

“Wow – This Hotel Stands Out From the Crowd!”

We stayed at The Pheasant several years ago, it was OK, but “faded elegance” comes to mind. Now under new management resulting in a major refurbishment it is simply stunning and must be one of the finest hotels in Norfolk. We called in for lunch having heard good things and were not disappointed. From the reception area through the lounge bar to the restaurant and the gardens this hotel oozes quality. Beautifully decorated and furnished, attentive staff, and our meals were superb. You can dine in the restaurant, the lounge or the garden, first class dining in a relaxing and calming atmosphere, we will be going back for an evening meal soon. We recommend this hotel if you want fine dining and sensible prices, and unlike other Norfolk hotels it is not pretentious! Fabulous.

“Faultless stay”

We had a last minute trip to Norfolk for one night last weekend to take advantage of the good weather forecast. I found this hotel by chance when searching for places that are child friendly in that area – there aren’t many places that take under 5s. The hotel is beautiful – recently refurbished and done to a very high standard. Luxurious fixtures and fittings and very friendly staff. the whole place is spotlessly clean with lovely gardens outside too.

The staff were very welcoming towards our children (age 4 & 2) and went out of their way to accommodate us. They had no family room available as it was already booked but they were able to put two extra beds into a double room which worked out perfectly for our kids. the rooms are large so there was still plenty of space for us all and lots of wardrobe space too which is great at breakfast there were the usual items available and these were very very nice – smoked salmon & scrambled egg / full english etc. The kids decided that they’d like bacon sandwiches which were not on the menu but the staff gladly made them for our children which was a nice touch.

The location is remote – nothing in walking distance but its perfectly located for some beautiful coastal areas. Just 5 minutes to nearby Salthouse where there are some nice child-friendly walks to the beach and a nice pub called the Dunn Cow or a little further to Blakeney to do some crabbing. the other direction has Sheringham which has the best beaches for children to play on or climb rocks.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, from couples to families – it was faultless
